In a quick assumption, I'm guessing you have Bannerlord on the Epic Games Store.
It currently isn't updated to v1.2.10, a Taleworlds update only released on Steam. Meaning the Epic Games Store version is currently not usable with BO until Taleworlds releases the update to Epic.

Unfortunately not. A Taleworlds community manager said on Thursday it wasn't clear yet when they'd be able to release the v1.2.10 update to other platforms, including Epic.
